With his dad Ben Stodghill on hand to witness, Ted Stodghill got his first career ace on hole #6.
The 2014 Member-Guest was a great success thanks to the efforts of Randy Shaw, Darrin Fossum, Brian Catlin, our Pro Troy Rodvold and Fred Power all chipping in to help fix the Tournament Chairman's screw-ups.
Randy develops a nervous tick whenever I start using the TPP program.
Thanks to one and all for participating in this years Member-Guest, making it a fun and eventful tournament.
Kris Stromberg rode guest Paul Houvener to win low gross in the 1st division shooting a 8-under 63.
Darrin Fossum and John Stockman displayed some great shot making skills on their way to winning low net in the 1st division.
Stockman chipped in on #8 for a deuce and hit the flag stick with his 2nd shot on #10, the ball stopped 2 inches behind the cup.
Fossum made the birdie putt on their 2nd attempt.
Gary Richards and Scott Smith fired a 69 to win low gross in the 2nd division.
2014 Net Match Play Champion Gary Hendricks teamed with his son Will to take home net in the 2nd flight.
Ted Stodghill continued his tournament hot streak with an ace on hole #6 and teamed with his dad Ben to win low gross.
I suspect Ted will be the "hot" buy in the Club Championship optional best ball.
Brian M. Catlin partnered with Chris Tucker to claim the low net prize for the 3rd division.
Mark Suffia and his partner Dave Meozegian combined to win Troy's very challenging and evil putting contest. They both get a pair of Footjoys golf shoes thanks to Brad Barnett's generosity.
If par was 13 on each hole, then I made one birdie.
We had a total of three father-son combinations, Ron and Chris Baker, Ted and Ben Stodghill, Gary and Will Hendricks (Brian M. Catlin wanted to cash, so he played with Chris Tucker and not his dad) and one pair of brothers, Bryan and Trevor Loe playing in the field.
38 players shared in the deuce pot winnings, remind me not to have that side game in a 2-man team event again.
4 Players won gross skins.
8 Players won net skins.
11 Players shared the net 63 club purse.
Jim Etheridge won the honey pot KP.
Thanks to Randy Leifer and his staff, the course was in fantastic shape.
Dare I forget to mention the awesome food and great service provided by Piper and her team. It was fantastic and we look forward to doing it again in the Club Championship.
Results are posted under the Tournaments link-Member-Guest.
Thanks again to all the members and their guest who made the 2014 Member-Guest one to remember and for putting up with all my faux pas.
